Things you should know...
Parking Lot Lights. As part of the construction, the electrical wiring for the parking lot area need to be cut. So there will be no lights in the parking lot area for an indefinite period.
Our parking area during the building construction will be smaller! Parking is available in the vacant lot just north of the limited paved parking area - the other side of the dumpster. We encourage those who are able to do a passenger drop off, park in the vacant lot, and "hike" to the building. Thanks for your help, and we apologize for the inconvenience!
The "Labor Dispute." The protesters are picketing Grace Church because of an apparent labor dispute between a local carpenter's union and sub-contractor, Century Drywall, who is working on our new addition. The contractor is not part of the local union and instead of picketing Century Drywall's office, they are protesting the fact that we have hired them. We do not harbor any ill will towards the picketers but want to clarify the situation. We are building this addition as space for our church and the local community to learn and play.
Our goal is to provide a recreational facility for our church members and the members of the surrounding community to use and enjoy. We will have basketball and volleyball in the gymnasium, cooking classes, computer skills classes, tutoring, and sports camps. Our dream would be to host an after-school program for the local elementary school children. If you would like to know more about the new addition, please contact any of the pastors at 821-8800.
