Thank you for choosing to visit the Grace Church web site. I am the lead pastor at Grace Church and have been part of this ministry since May of 1975. When you come to Grace Chruch, I hope that you find a warm and loving atmosphere, a clear presentation of God’s Word, the gospel of Jesus, and clear opportunities to connect with others.
A Word from Aaron
Aaron has been at Grace Church since 2008. He came to Grace to be the youth pastor. After several staff changes his role changed halfway through 2012. As the Associate Pastor his primary goal is to resource ministry leaders and ministries so they can fully live out the grace of Jesus Christ. Aaron would love to talk to you about using your gifts to serve the Lord. Romans 8:28 is the verse that Aaron clings to when life seems hard.
A Word from Preston
Preston Christensen is the youth pastor here at Grace Church. Preston is a missionary’s kid from New York City, and went to college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. He met Laurel in college and followed her to Albuquerque after graduating. Preston and Laurel got married in 2009 and they had a baby girl, named Sawyer, in November 2011. They have come alongside and worked with the youth at Grace since 2009. They look forward to continuing ministry with the youth and parents of youth and seeing them mature in Christ.
Children's Ministry Director
A Word from Whitney
I was raised in the sprawling metropolis of Sudan, Texas by two wonderful, Christian parents. I knew from very early on how important church was to my family since we drove an hour to Lubbock every Sunday to be an active part of our church family. I have truly been blessed by the church my entire life and I am so excited to be working and serving God and His people.
I have been involved in Children’s Ministry for seven years as a volunteer, an intern, and a staff member. I had the opportunity of learning from some incredible mentors through this time and the experience and knowledge I have gained has been priceless. Throughout this time, it became very obvious to me that I am called to do ministry and that Children’s ministry is my passion. I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Children’s Ministry in December 2012.
January 4, 2014, I married my best friend, Jason Meeks. We are so excited to start our journey together and see how God uses us to advance His Kingdom. I look forward to seeing the work that God is going to do in the Children’s Ministry at Grace Church. My dad has always told me that “if you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life,” and I feel very blessed to have a job doing what I want to do and what I am confident God has called me to do.
Worship Leader and Music Director
A Word from Martha
Greetings in the name of our Lord! I am the Worship Leader and Music Director at Grace Church. I find no greater joy than when I get to spend hours singing to the Lord. As believers we ought to live a lifestyle that reflects the nature of who God is, and what He has done for us. It is my prayer that those who enter this building understand the importance of living a life that is filled with worship.
A Word from Jessica
Jessica and her husband Jon were born and raised in Kansas, where they met in high school. They married in 2004 and had their son Ian in August of 2010. Jessica was a church administrative assistant at two other churches in Kansas City for a total of almost 8 years before they moved to New Mexico in 2012. Jessica became the Administrative Assistant here at Grace in June of 2013 and enjoys serving Grace in this capacity. God has blessed her with this opportunity to support the Grace Church staff and ministry and is excited to see what God will do!
A Word from Brian
I am a native of Albuquerque, NM and my amazing wife Barbara is from Waterford, Michigan. We have two sons, Aaron and Spencer. We joined the Grace family in 2000, about the same time I surrendered my life to Jesus. My working career started as a cab driver in Tokyo, Japan. I was the Distribution Manager at the University of Maryland Asian Division for five years, spent eleven years in administration for a Department of Energy contractor on Kirtland Air Force Base. Then I developed software at Oracle Corporation for another eleven years and, after taking an invention of mine to market for three years, I followed the Lord’s leading serve as our Operations Manager. I haven’t worked a day in my life since! I am blessed, honored and feel privileged to serve my church family!
